Loved Ones Lost too Soon
I am participating in the TELUS Ride For Dad.
TIM :My father in law was Diagnosed with Prostrate Cancer in 2011 at the age of 65. He fought a hard battle only to have the Cancer spread throughout this entire body making life unbearable. He died at the age of 69. He loved to ride his motorcycle, called it his time to think. I can imagine him riding the streets of gold in heaven.
Josie: My father had a love for motorcycles since a young age until he died. He was one of the first patients to have physician assited suicide, Canada's dying with Dignity. He passed away on his terms July 13, 2016 at 2pm as we held his hands. More than 50 biker Friends showed up the day of his funeral on their motorcycles to escort him to his final resting place. This would be dad's FINAL RIDE.
One in seven men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Canadian men. It generally affects men over 40. Successful treatment depends on early detection. In the longer term, research into improved diagnosis, treatment and prevention will further improve our capacity to deal with this disease.
I am asking you to make a difference for the men in your life by help by supporting Josie and my fundraising efforts with a donation. Your tax-deductible gift will make a difference in the lives of many by helping to fund critical research and public awareness campaigns right in our own community!
Help me reach our goal – support us with a donation today!
